Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR A HORSE I WANT?

A: Call us at 651-341-8208 with credit card information. 25% of the cost of the horse will be charged at that time, which is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE should you back out for any reason. This guarantees that horse is sold to you. You are welcome to pay the balance due at pickup with cash/credit card. **1st to call with payment info gets the horse**

Q: ONCE I HAVE GIVEN MY CREDIT CARD INFO ON THE HORSE(S) I WANT WHEN DO I HAVE TO PICKUP?

A: Your horse may stay here for up to 7 days from date of purchase at a cost of $10/day/horse while you arrange for pickup (pickup times are stated at the top of this post and are by appointment only)

Q:WHAT IF I DECIDE I DON'T WANT THE HORSE I PUT A HOLD ON?

A:  If for ANY reason you back out on a horse we will add any board that may have accrued to the 25% (non-refundable/non-transferable) payment you have already provided. If there is ample time left before the deadline the horse will be relisted, if not or you back out after the deadline the horse will be shipped to slaughter. You will not be allowed to put a "hold" on a horse in the future. (although you are still welcome to purchase but full price of the horse will be charged at the time of the call)

Q: IF I DECIDE I DON'T WANT THE HORSE ONCE I GET IT HOME HOW DO I RETURN IT?

A: You don't. All horses are sold "AS IS; WHERE IS" with no guarantees regarding temperament, age, soundness, health, discipline. There are NO exceptions.

Q: WHERE DO THESE HORSES COME FROM?

A: They come from all over the USA. From auctions, other dealers, and private parties. For the most part we have little/no history on them, nor do we know how they ended up in their current situation, but we will state what we know in the post.

Q: ARE THESE HORSES GOING TO GET SICK?

A: There is always a risk of horses becoming ill. We do recommend a quarantine period of at least 4 weeks. Please contact the pen for more information on QT guidlines and for contacts for those providing this service for those who are unable to QT at home.

Q:DO THESE HORSES HAVE A CURRENT NEG. COGGINS TEST?

A:Generally no they do not. But you are welcome to have one drawn before you pick your horse up at buyers sole expense. Though a coggins is not required to leave the property with your new horse, it is required to cross state lines. ***If we, by chance, have a coggins on a particular horse we will state that in the post and pass the paperwork on to you at pickup.

Q:IF I WANT TO HAVE COGGINS DRAWN WHO DO I CALL?

A: You are welcome to use any Vet you choose Dr. Tom Winters (651-258-4050), Dr. Jonathan Lombaro (651-755-6515), and Cleary Lake Equine (952-435-8387) do visit the pen frequently.  Cleary Lake Equine does have the EIA testing on site so results can be ready within a couple of hours after blood has been drawn.  ***It is YOUR responsibility to get the paperwork from the clinic.

Q: CAN I COME RIDE AND TRY OUT THE HORSES?

A:No. For liability reasons we do not allow you to ride these horses here.

Q: I WAS LOOKING AT A HORSE AND NOW I CAN'T FIND THE PICTURE, WHY

A: The horse you were viewing may have been sold. The pictures/videos are deleted as each horse sells.

Q: WHY ARE THERE NO HORSES LISTED?

A: Horses have most likely been sold for the week. New horses will be posted on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Q:DO YOU HAVE OTHER HORSES THAT AREN'T LISTED?

A: Yes. Ryon buys all classes of horses. We do have many other horses available for purchase. Prices vary greatly.

Q: I SEE OTHER FACEBOOK PAGES WITH RYON'S NAME IN THE TITLE. WHICH IS WHICH?

A: This page (Ryon's Rescue Pen) is the Official page and the only one managed by us. All other pages that may incorporate Ryon's name are run by private individuals and do not necessarily share the same opinions and/or views of Ryon Simon or his staff and we are in no way responsible for what is posted on any page other than THIS one.

***RRP does it's best to present each horse as honestly as possible, but we make no quarantee on temprement, health, soundness, riding ability, etc. Height and age are APPROX based on a quick visual view of the horse. We determine approx age based on teeth (which is not an exact science) and the opinion of "true" age will vary from person to person. (i.e. we may age them at 9-10 your vet may age them at 15-16 and your neighbor may tell you he/she is 5-6). Soundness issues that are perminant, but not visible to us here, are always a possiblity as well. We do not know the history on these horses and cannot say if a horse has issues not visible to us that may impact a horses way of going. ALL HORSES ARE SOLD AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO GUARANTEE OR RETURNS

***It should be assumed that ANY mare purchased thru RRP could be in foal. RRP does NOT make any guarantee either way.***

***If you would like to help these horses get out of the slaughter pipeline but are not in a position to purchase/own one your self, please join the outside-ran group Ryon's Rescue Pen Heros on Facebook to pledge to a horse or 2 to help them find a home.  RRP IS NOT A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND ALL PLEDGES (DONATIONS) ARE DONE BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS NOT RRP

Thank you for fully reading the FAQ'S. We are doing our best to manage our time wisely in hopes we can save more of these horses.
